2008/2009 WINTER MARKET
The South Wedge and Brighton Farmers Markets are joining forces to collaborate on a winter farmers market to be held over the coming winter season. The market will be an indoor market, held at the Artisan Church, 1235 S. Clinton Ave., in Rochester, conveniently located to both Brighton and the South Wedge neighborhoods. The new market will be held on the third Thursday of each month from December through May, from 4 to 7 pm. Setup will begin at 3:00.
We encourage any vendor who expects to have product to apply to participate in the winter market. Vendors may sign up for any or all of the market sessions, depending on anticipated product availability. Vendors who participated in either the South Wedge or Brighton 2008 Farmers Market may complete the short application attached to the bottom of this note. Vendors that are applying for the first time to one of our markets must fill out the longer, full version New Vendor Application , also attached at the bottom of this note. Rules for the Winter Market are linked to the Winter Market tab on our home page. The vendor fee will be $15 per session; checks may be made payable to the South Wedge Farmers Market. Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance with Town of Brighton, The South Wedge Planning Committee, and Artisan Church named as additional insured on the policy.
We’re excited about this unique collaboration. We hope to provide both vendors and customers with a way to maintain and continue the valuable connections formed over the successful market season just ended. Many customers have expressed their wish to continue access to the wonderful local, sustainably-raised food that they have come to count on.
