Celebrate Swillburg on 7-22!

This week, from 4-8pm, become a member of the Swillburg Neighborhood Association http://www.swillburg.com/get a free pig magnet,  and get informed about this year’s Swillburg Carnival!  Allen Hopkins www.allenhopkins.org/will play traditional folk music from 4 to 7, and Pamela Frame will bring her cello quartet for some soothing sounds.

Be sure to catch Wild Wings http://www.wildwingsinc.org/ from 5 to 7. They will talk about their efforts to rescue injured birds of prey, and will bring birds for us to view.  Of course, we’ll have children’s activities at the Southwedge Kids booth to entertain kids of all ages!

Oh, and food. How could we forget the beautiful fruits, vegetables, and meats that our farmers work so hard to provide?  Kurt Forman of Clearview Farm will have sweet JimmyNardello and Flavorburst peppers, plus jalapenos.  Jim & Pat Sharpless of Organic Matters are bringing wax, green, red, dragon tongue beans, blackberries, and pac choy.  Kim Doty at Tripleberry Farm is excited to announce that blueberries are at their peak this week!  Jake Lagoner of Lagoner Farm will have delicious peaches, apricots, plums, sour cherries, blueberries, cauliflower, broccoli, pickles, cukes, and zucchini. Fred Forsburg of Honeyhill Farm is proud to offer perfectly cured keeper garlic, jumbo roasters, fresh organic, pasture-raised chicken, and golden beets.

Come meet with friends and neighbors, learn about your world, grab a slice of pizza (Napa Pizza is now open!), and enjoy the luscious abundance Upstate New York offers! We’ll see you this Thursday, 4-8pm.
